Born in Virginia, raised in the heartland of Pennsylvania, I attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, studying philosophy and classics. I earned my B. A. in the Spring of 2008. From the fall of 2009 to the spring of 2013, I completed the requisite course work and examinations for the doctoral degree. Currently, I'm living in Germany with a dissertation research grant from the DAAD.
