The 2022-23 Meet a Philosopher Series is aimed at undergraduate students of any major interested in topics surrounding philosophy.

As introduction, Professor Sandmeyer will discuss his personal journey that led him to study environmental philosophy. He will then present a brief overview of the idea of an existential ecology, which understands life as a relational or ecological concept. He will conclude by detailing what environmental philosophy courses he has developed and is teaching at UK and explain his current effort to establish an Environmental Humanities Initiative here.
