The Mid/South Philosophy of Science Network aims to connect philosophers of science working in the American mid-south region, broadly construed, in order to exchange ideas and share resources. Our goals are (1) to improve the quality of philosophy of science research in our region, (2) to facilitate communication among member institutions, and (3) to employ the philosophy of science as a means of addressing large-scale social and societal issues in our region.
Established in 2017, the Mid/South Philosophy of Science Network is based in Lexington, KY, at the University of Kentucky and receives sponsorship through the University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences. Member institutions include Morehead State University, the University of Cincinnati, Western Carolina University, the University of Louisville, and the University of Tennessee.
We have a listserv, which we use to advertise philosophy of science events in the region! To join, click here. For more information, contact the Network Coordinator, Julia Bursten.
