Nanda Harish

I am a first-year PhD student and teaching assistant at the Department of Philosophy, University of Kentucky. I completed my bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi and, consequently, received my master’s degree in the philosophy of the social sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). I am primarily interested in the social ontology. My MSc dissertation argues that current ameliorative accounts of gender have a long way to go towards capturing the gender experiences of all people. I am also interested in social and political philosophy, (critical) social theory, the philosophy of race, healthcare ethics and fat studies.
