Nanda (they/them) is a first-year PhD student and teaching assistant at the Department of Philosophy, University of Kentucky. They completed their bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi and, consequently, received their master’s degree in the philosophy of the social sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). They are primarily interested in the philosophy of gender. Their MSc dissertation argues that current ameliorative accounts of gender have a long way to go towards being inclusive of the gender experiences of trans and non-binary people. They are also interested in social and political philosophy, (critical) social theory, the philosophy of race, social ontology, healthcare ethics and fat studies.
